FAQ
Questions, answered.
- Do my friends need to sign up?
- No. Only the room creator needs a free account. Everyone you invite joins with just a nickname — no email, no password.
- Does the room persist if I close my tab?
- Yes. Rooms live in our backend. Bookmark the URL or save the 6-character code and you can come back any time.
- Can someone guess my 6-character room code?
- Codes are random and rooms are not indexed or listed publicly. For sensitive groups, Director's Cut lets you lock a room with a 4-6 digit PIN — anyone without the PIN is blocked from joining, even if they have the code.
- What happens if the group can't agree?
- The host has a built-in stall fallback: auto-crown the least-vetoed title, run a sudden-death round between the top 3 candidates, or re-roll a fresh batch of movies.
- Why a 'smart' veto instead of a total veto?
- Because in a group of 6, one grumpy voter shouldn't kill every title. Vetoes scale: 1 dislike kills in pairs, but bigger rooms need a couple of vetoes for a title to die.
- How is my data used?
- We store room names, nicknames, votes, and (if you sign in) your email. We don't sell data, run ads, or track you across the web. Full details in the Privacy page.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes — email us within 14 days of purchase. The Weekend Pass is non-refundable once a room has been created with it.
- What if I only watch movies once a month?
- Grab the Weekend Pass ($1.99) for a single movie night, or the Annual plan (~$39) if you'd rather pay once and forget.
