Privacy

Match & Watch is built to be social, not surveillant. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we don't do.

What we collect

• Account data (room creators only): your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your display name and avatar. Used to identify you across rooms.
• Room data: room name, nicknames, swipes, ranking picks. Stored so the room state survives a refresh.
• Device identifier: a random ID stored in your browser so we can remember which device created a room.
• Billing data (premium only): processed by Polar. We see your customer ID and subscription status — not your card.

What we don't do

• No ads. No third-party trackers across the web.
• We do not sell or rent any data to third parties.
• We do not read or store the contents of movies you watch — we only know which titles your room voted on.

Who processes data

Hosting and database: Supabase. Payments: Polar. Email and authentication: Supabase Auth. We use these to run the service — they are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes.

Your rights

You can delete your account, export your data, or ask us a question by emailing hello@match-and-watch.live. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie (the auth session) and a localStorage entry (your device ID). No analytics cookies.
